In a 17th-century court trial dealing with piracy, we sit in the courtroom and, through a VR experience, accompany the Court Registrar, whose drawings bring to life the memories of the accused – the notorious Samuel Pallache.
As the trial unfolds, it becomes clear that Pallache is not being judged merely for acts of piracy, but for his identity – and for the choice of whether to declare it openly, even at the cost of his life.
This film is the first part of an anthology about Jewish pirates.
It is currently in development.
